"I'm going to keep on with animation, because I think it's definitely an art form. It deals with persistance of vision, and i can use people, animated figures, air, magnetisim, stars and whatever has to do with change or motion, and that's what i want to do. Animation lets me create a complete world with my own hands where i don't feel any kind of restrictions. I know that, if I were making live-action films at this time, I would feel some kind of restriction, from the characters, for instance. No one has really taken animation to where it should be --- not this cartoon thing you see on television, where everything is a cliche. People don't understand that animation can put things on a highly emotional level. I want to make emotion a visible thing. I'm interested in seeing as we do, not as the camera sees. I'm looking for new relationships of objects together, new ways of having them work"
