"Jack and Jill went up the hill,

To fetch a pail of water;

Jack fell down and broke his crown,

And Jill came tumbling after.

Then up Jack got and off did trot,

As fast as he could caper,

To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob

With vinegar and brown paper."

Condition; Fair, Previous owner's inscription dated 1911 on half title, Foxing to first/last few pages and to a lesser degree throughout the book, There are two loose colour plates ('playtime' and 'shot his own sow'). The corners are curved inwards as is the heels of the spine and there are two 1.5" marks on the back cover, That said the Gilt is still good on the title and the book remains in a readable, solid condition.
