It's Mystery Science Theater 3000, America's only show that makes fun of really bad B movies from the comfort of a spaceship floating above Earth. Mike Nelson, along with his mechanical companions, wisecracking Crow and well-read chick magnet Tom Servo, make suffering through Hollywood's worst films a breeze. Adding their own dialogue, barrage of witty remarks, and an occasional colorful skit, the next hour and a half will fly by like it were only 90 minutes. There's no ushers with flashlights, crying babies, or women with big hair to spoil the fun.

Just when Joel thought being stranded in outer space was the worst thing that could happen, mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester beams up a heavy dose of cinematic punishment called The Pod People. Not only does it have aliens from another planet, it was made in a foreign country. During an opening scene where a backwoods dolt uses the butt of his gun to smash eggs from outer space, Crow remarks, "Who does he think he is, an L.A. cop?" And as the end credits roll up screen, Joel eyes the name Emilio Ruiz, making the connection, "Isn't that Martin Sheen's kid?" to which Crow comes back, "Hey! Who isn't." There's so much more, including Tom Servo's best Yoda impression and some hilarious on-ship action.
